ABO/Rhinegold industry awards: nominations close 7 December
Alex Stevens - 5 December 2012
Nominations for the ABO/Rhinegold classical music industry awards close on Friday 7 December.
Awards will be given for Orchestra Manager of the Year, Concert Hall Manager of the Year and Artist Manager of the Year.
The awards will be presented at the Association of British Orchestras Conference dinner on 23 January in Leeds.
The winners will be profiled by Classical Music in 2013.
The inaugural awards were held last year and won by Sophie Lewis, general manager of Sinfonia Cymru, Paul Keene, director of programming at Town Hall and Symphony Hall, Birmingham, and Stephen Lumsden, managing director of Intermusica.
Lumsden said the award ‘clearly says that artist managers can and need to be creative partners wherever we can. If this helps raise all our games, that’s got to be good for everyone.’
