The second of the London Symphony Orchestra’s BMW LSO Open Air Classics concerts took place on 27 May, with Valery Gergiev taking the orchestra through the overture to Berlioz’s Le corsair and Symphonie fantastique, alongside performances by LSO On Track musicians and students from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in a 15-minute arrangement of the Symphonie fantastique by Gareth Glyn. The concert was presented by LSO animateur Rachel Leach with the aid of outdoor screens. The concert was the second in a planned series of three annual events sponsored by BMW.
