Music for movies: Neil Brand and The Sound of Cinema | Plus August highlights
On 12 September, BBC Four screens the first episode of a three-part series on film music, conceived, written and presented by Neil Brand, himself a silent film accompanist for almost 30 years. It heralds the start of Sound of Cinema, a three-week season being held in conjunction with Radio 3, to celebrate the music of the silver screen.
