Beethoven has been looming large of late in Dublin’s musical life where education is increasingly meeting performance. Last year, the city’s National Concert Hall embarked on The Beethoven Journey with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra; a project that helped deaf children explore and experience music in a series of workshops and performances at the heart of which were two Beethoven piano concertos.
