‘When I finished at the academy, my first concert was with the National Philharmonic, so our association goes back a long, long time,’ says Jacek Kaspszyk, who recently succeeded Antoni Wit as artistic director of the orchestra better known on these shores as the Warsaw Philharmonic. His tenure as principal guest conductor (when Kazimierz Kord had the top job) and regular appearances since, certainly mean there won’t be a tricky getting-to-know-you phase to get through.
