Remembering 1914 | WW1 Commemorations

It is surely fair to say that of the 20th century’s two global conflicts, it is the second world war that prompted the more distinctive, more international musical responses. So musicians commemorating the centenary of world war one this year are perhaps inevitably taking a rather low-key approach, often approaching the theme indirectly.
